I am Heiko Seeberger, and I have been writing software professionally since 1994, for more than 30 years now. Since 2011 I have built distributed systems: for ten years with Scala and Akka, and since 2021 with Rust.

In the Scala years I worked at Typesafe and Lightbend, mostly with Akka, and wrote the book Durchstarten mit Scala, published by entwickler.press. In Rust, I led the development of the Midnight Indexer at Shielded Technologies. I wrote eventsourced and then tellus, an actor framework for Rust with supervision trees, event-sourced persistence and clustered remoting.
